THE PROCEDURE
for sending, reviewing and publishing articles in the journal
«Vestnik of Donetsk University. Series 06. Legal Sciences»
1. Editorial board of the journal «Vestnik of Donetsk University. Series 06. Legal Sciences» accepts for consideration for publication in the journal previously unpublished and not submitted for simultaneous publication in other publications scientific articles on the subject of the journal.
2. All articles submitted to the editorial board are subject to peer review and (in case of a positive review) scientific and technical editing.
3. Articles accepted for review and publication should be prepared in accordance with the Rules for Authors (available in each issue and on the journal's website).
4. The Executive Secretary of the journal notifies the authors of the receipt of the article by e-mail and sends the article for review.
5. Peer review is a mandatory procedure for articles published in the Journal. In case of a positive review, the article is sent for further scientific and technical editing.
6. The terms of reviewing in each individual case are determined taking into account the creation of conditions for the most expeditious publication of the article.
7. The Editor-in-Chief and/or the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal appoints reviewers. By the decision of the Editor-in-Chief and/or Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal (under certain circumstances), the appointment of reviewers may be entrusted to a member of the editorial board. In some cases, the issue of choosing reviewers is decided at a meeting of the editorial board.
8. To review articles, both members of the editorial board of a scientific journal and outside highly qualified specialists with deep professional knowledge and experience in specific scientific fields who have published on the subject of the reviewed article over the past three years can act as reviewers.
9. The review highlights the following issues:
- does the content of the article correspond to the topic stated in the title;
- to what extent does the article correspond to modern achievements of scientific and theoretical thought;
- is the article accessible to the readers for whom it is intended, in terms of language, style, location of the material, clarity of tables and figures;
- is it advisable to publish an article taking into account the previously published literature on this issue;
- what exactly are the positive aspects, as well as the disadvantages of the article, what corrections and additions should be made by the author;
- the reviewer makes a conclusion about the possibility of publication: "recommended", "recommended taking into account the correction of the noted shortcomings" or "not recommended".
10. If the review is positive, but contains comments and suggestions, the editorial board sends the articles to the authors for revision along with the comments of the reviewer. An article sent to the authors for revision should be returned in its corrected form as soon as possible. The revised manuscript should be accompanied by a letter from the authors containing answers to all comments and explaining all the changes made in the article. An article that has been delayed for more than three months or requires re-processing is considered to be newly received.
11. The editorial board sends the authors of the submitted materials copies of the reviews and/or a reasoned refusal, and also undertakes to send copies of the reviews to the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation upon receipt of a corresponding request to the editorial board of the peer-reviewed scientific publication.
12. The author has the right to submit a reasoned objection to the conclusions stated in the review. The final decision on the continuation of the review process is made by the Editor-in-Chief of the journal.
13. After the decision of the Editorial Board to allow the article to be published, the Executive Secretary informs the author about it.
14. The reviews are kept in the editorial office of the journal for 5 years. At the request of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the editorial board of the journal sends copies of article reviews to the Ministry.
15. The manuscripts are not returned to the authors.
