«Vestnik of Donetsk University. Series 06. Legal sciences»

1. Editorial board of the journal «Vestnik of Donetsk University. Series 06. Legal sciences» accepts for consideration for publication in the journal previously unpublished and not submitted for simultaneous publication in other publications scientific articles on the subject of the journal.

2. Articles accepted for review and publication should be prepared in accordance with the Rules for Authors (available in each issue and on the journal's website).

3. The Secretary notifies the authors of the receipt of the article by e-mail and sends the article for review.

4. Peer review is a mandatory procedure for articles published in the Journal. In case of a positive review, the article is sent for further scientific and technical editing.

5. The terms of reviewing in each individual case are determined taking into account the creation of conditions for the most expeditious publication of the article.

6. The Editor-in-Chief and/or the Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal appoints reviewers. By the decision of the Editor-in-Chief and/or Deputy Editor-in-Chief of the journal (under certain circumstances), the appointment of reviewers may be entrusted to a member of the editorial board. In some cases, the issue of choosing reviewers is decided at a meeting of the editorial board. By the decision of the Editor-in-Chief of the journal, individual articles by prominent scientists, as well as specially invited articles, may be exempt from the standard review procedure. To review articles, both members of the editorial board of a scientific journal and outside highly qualified specialists with deep professional knowledge and experience in specific scientific fields can act as reviewers.

7. The review highlights the following issues:

  • does the content of the article correspond to the topic stated in the title;
  • to what extent does the article correspond to modern achievements of scientific and theoretical thought;
  • is the article accessible to the readers for whom it is intended, in terms of language, style, location of the material, clarity of tables and figures;
  • is it advisable to publish an article taking into account the previously published literature on this issue;
  • what exactly are the positive aspects, as well as the disadvantages of the article, what corrections and additions should be made by the author;

 The reviewer makes a conclusion about the possibility of publication: «recommended», «recommended taking into account the correction of the noted shortcomings» or «not recommended».

8. If the review is positive, but contains comments and suggestions, the editorial board sends the articles to the authors for revision along with the comments of the reviewer. An article sent to the authors for revision should be returned in its corrected form as soon as possible. The revised manuscript should be accompanied by a letter from the authors containing answers to all comments and explaining all the changes made in the article. An article that has been delayed for more than three months or requires re-processing is considered to be newly received.

9. In case of rejection of an article from publication, the Editorial Board sends the author a reasoned refusal. A copy of the review without specifying the reviewer is sent to the author upon his request.

10. After the decision of the Editorial Board to allow the article to be published, the Executive Secretary informs the author about it.

11. The reviews are kept in the editorial office of the journal for 5 years. At the request of the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the editorial board of the journal sends copies of article reviews to the Ministry.
