Publishing House of Federal State Budget Educational Institution of Higher Education “Donetsk State University”
Established to ensure the research and educational process at the University.
Main objectives:
- publishing scientific, educational, and educational-methodological literature and materials;
- printing documents for the University’s educational process and other printing products required for internal document workflow.
The publishing house continues established traditions and produces high-quality educational and scientific literature across all fields of knowledge represented at DonSU, covering almost all areas of the humanities, social sciences, and natural sciences, with special emphasis on textbooks and teaching aids for core and additional educational programs. The publishing house actively participates in the publication of monographs and teaching aids under projects funded through state assignments and research grants.
Advanced scientific knowledge is reflected in the University’s scientific journals. In 1997, the theoretical research journal “Bulletin of Donetsk University” began publication. Today, DonSU is the founder and publisher of 15 scientific journals. All of them are available in Open Access.
13 scientific journals are included in the List of peer-reviewed scientific publications in which the main scientific results of theses for the degree of Candidate of Sciences and Doctor of Sciences must be published (abbreviated as the VAK List). Most journals are included in the Russian Federation’s White List of scientific publications. The websites of all online journals are hosted on the electronic publishing platform Open Journal Systems (OJS). Its modern version makes it possible to track article scientific metrics in real time. Open access and OJS provide not only free and open publications, but also immediate access to articles as soon as they are posted on the website.
To support educational programs with high-quality teaching materials, the Publishing House prepares educational publications and archives them in DonSU’s digital repository, with the possibility of further printing using the print-on-demand technology.
