Rules of the submission, peer review and publication articles in a scientific journal

"Journal of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics"

1. The editorial board of the scientific journal "Journal of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics" accepts for consideration for placement in the journal previously unpublished and not submitted for publication in other scientific publications original and review articles on the journal's topics, prepared and executed in strict accordance with the Rules for Authors, received by e-mail to the editorial office of the journal jtam_donnu@mail.ru

2. All articles sent to the editorial office are subject to peer review and, if a positive review is received, to scientific and technical editing.

3. Reviewers of articles submitted for publication are appointed by the editorial board from among recognized experts on the subject of the reviewed materials and who have published publications on the subject of the reviewed article over the past five years.

4. When assessing the quality of an article, the reviewer takes into account: the correspondence of its content to the subject of the journal; novelty, scientific significance, relevance and validity of the results obtained; correctness of the use of the results of other authors; correctness of references; quality of presentation and design.

5. In the conclusion of the review, one of the following recommendations should be indicated: the possibility of publishing an article in the journal "Journal of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics"; the possibility of publication after appropriate revision (according to the comments of the reviewer); inexpediency of publication.

6. The reviewer must, no later than 1 month after receiving the manuscript of the article, return it to the editorial board with a review.

7. The final decision on publication, publication after revision or rejection of the article is made by the editorial board of the journal.

8. The editors provide the authors with a copy of the review of the article (without specifying the data of the reviewer) or a reasoned refusal to publish it.

9. Reviews are kept in the editorial office of the journal for five years. At the request of the Ministry of Science and Education of the Russian Federation, the editorial board of the journal provides copies of reviews of articles.

10. If the review is positive, but contains comments and suggestions, the editorial staff sends the corresponding articles to the authors for revision along with the comments of the reviewer. An article sent to the authors for revision must be returned in a corrected form as soon as possible, not exceeding three months. The revised manuscript should be accompanied by a letter from the authors, containing answers to all comments and explaining all the changes made to the article. An article delayed for more than three months or requiring re-processing is considered as newly received.

11. In case of rejection of the article, the editorial board sends the authors reviews or excerpts from them, or a reasoned letter from the editor. The Editorial Board does not enter into a discussion with the authors of rejected articles, except in cases of obvious misunderstandings.

12. Manuscripts sent to the editorial office are not returned to the authors.
