Rules of the submission, peer review and publication articles
in a scientific journal "Journal of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics"

The editorial board of the scientific journal "Journal of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics" accepts for consideration for publication in the journal previously unpublished and not submitted for publication in other scientific journals original and review articles on the journal's topics, prepared and executed in strict accordance with the Rules for Authors.

All articles sent to the editorial office are subject to peer review and, if a positive review is received, to scientific and technical editing.

Reviewers of articles submitted for publication are appointed by the editorial board from among recognized experts on the subject of the reviewed materials and who have published publications on the subject of the reviewed article over the past five years.

When assessing the quality of an article, the reviewer takes into account: compliance of its content with the subject of the journal; novelty, scientific significance, relevance and validity of the results obtained; the correctness of using the results of other authors; correct links; the quality of presentation and design.

The conclusion of the review should indicate one of the following recommendations: the possibility of publishing an article in the journal "Journal of Theoretical and Applied Mechanics"; the possibility of publication after appropriate revision (according to the comments of the reviewer); inappropriate publication.

The reviewer must, no later than 1 month after receiving the manuscript of the article, return it to the editorial board with a review.

The final decision on publication, publication after revision or rejection of the article is made by the editorial board of the journal.

The editors provide the authors with a copy of the review of the article (without specifying the data of the reviewer) or a reasoned refusal to publish it.

Reviews of manuscripts of articles submitted to the editorial office are kept by the secretary of the editorial board of the journal for five years. At the request of the Ministry of Education and Science of the DPR, the editorial staff of the journal sends copies of reviews of articles to the Ministry.

If the review is positive, but contains comments and suggestions, the editorial staff sends the corresponding articles to the authors for revision along with the comments of the reviewer. An article sent to the authors for revision must be returned in a corrected form as soon as possible, not exceeding three months. The revised manuscript should be accompanied by a letter from the authors, containing answers to all comments and explaining all the changes made to the article. An article delayed for more than three months or requiring re-processing is considered as newly received.

In case of rejection of the article, the editorial board sends the reviewers or excerpts from them to the authors, or a reasoned letter from the editor. The editorial board does not enter into discussion with the authors of rejected articles, except in cases of obvious misunderstandings.

 Manuscripts sent to the editorial office are not returned to the authors.
