The PROCEDURE
for sending, reviewing and publishing articles in the journal
"Bulletin of Donetsk National University. Series G: Technical Sciences"

  1. Editorial board of the journal "Bulletin of Donetsk National University. Series G: Technical Sciences" accepts for consideration for publication in the journal previously unpublished and not submitted for simultaneous publication in other publications scientific articles on the subject of the journal.
  2. Compliance with the subject of the journal is determined by the passports of scientific specialties for which the journal accepts articles for publication. When submitting an article, the authors indicate no more than three scientific specialties, the points of the passport of which correspond to the article being submitted for consideration.
  3. It is allowed to publish no more than one article from one author in one issue and to have no more than five authors of one article. One of the authors must have an academic degree, and students and undergraduates cannot be co-authors.
  4. The authors of the articles are personally responsible for the presence of plagiarism elements in the texts of the articles, for the completeness and reliability of the stated facts and provisions, and for the fact of their publication. The authors confirm the required level of absence of plagiarism, as well as the absence of abuse of generative artificial intelligence tools, by sending a full report on the absence of borrowings to the editorial office.
  5. By the authors to the editorial office's email address vestnik.g@mail.ru An electronic version of the full text of the article (in Russian or English) in docx format is sent. The recommended length of the article is from 7 to 17 pages, including figures, tables, lists of sources, and information about the authors. Articles that do not comply with the Rules for Authors or the subject of the journal are not accepted for consideration. All articles accepted for review are subject to peer review and, in case of a positive review, scientific and technical editing.
  6. Articles submitted to the editorial board must be prepared in accordance with the Rules for Authors. Articles that do not comply with the Rules for Authors or the subject of the journal are not accepted for consideration.
  7. All articles accepted for review are subject to peer review and, in case of a positive review, scientific and technical editing. Editorial proofreading of articles is not sent to the authors.
  8. For articles accepted to the editorial board, the editorial board appoints reviewers from the editorial board of the journal. The reviewers are members of the editorial board who are recognized experts in the relevant field of sciences and who have published on the subject of the reviewed article within the last five years. One of the authors of the reviewed article, as well as a person affiliated with the author's organization(s), cannot be appointed a reviewer.
  9. The reviewer submits the review to the editorial board no later than 1 month after receiving the article.
  10. When evaluating an article, the reviewer takes into account: the article's compliance with the journal's heading; the relevance of the materials presented; the correspondence of the title, abstract, goals and objectives to the content of the article; the correctness of the use of other authors' results and the correctness of references; the quality of presentation and design; completeness, novelty and scientific significance of research; validity of the results.
  11. The review should conclude with one of the following recommendations:
    the article is evaluated positively in its presented form and is recommended for publication; the article is recommended for publication after a small revision by the author; the article requires significant revision with subsequent review; the article does not correspond to the subject of the journal and is not of interest.
  12. The decision on publication, publication after revision/revision or rejection of the article is made by the editorial board of the journal.
  13. If the article is recommended for publication after a small revision by the author, the editorial board sends comments to the authors of the article (without specifying the reviewer). An article sent to the authors for revision should be returned in its corrected form as soon as possible. The revised article must be accompanied by a letter from the authors containing answers to all comments and explaining all the changes made in the article. An article that has been delayed by the authors for more than a month or requires substantial revision is considered to be newly received.
  14. In case of rejection of an article, the editorial board sends the authors a review (without specifying the reviewer) or excerpts from it, or a reasoned letter from the editor. The editorial board does not enter into a discussion with the authors of rejected articles, except in cases of obvious misunderstanding.
  15. The reviews are kept in the editorial office of the journal for five years. At the request of the Russian Academy of Sciences or the Ministry of Science and Higher Education of the Russian Federation, the editorial board of the journal provides copies of article reviews.
